High-Tech Gründerfonds Appoints Yann Fiebig As New Partner

German seed investment firm High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has appointed Yann Fiebig as partner with effect from 1 July 2024.

Fiebig has been investing in Deep Tech and Climate Tech startups at HTGF since 2016, recognising high-potential topics such as New Space and Quantum Technologies. He supported the firm on five portfolio exits, including Envelio to E.ON (2021), Fazua to Porsche (2022) and Wiferion to a US OEM (2023). In HTGF’s industrial tech team, Fiebig co-designed the allocation strategy and contributed his conceptual and analytical skills to the development of the HTGF IV fund model. he actively supports his portfolio on the board, focusing on product-market fit and product management best practices.

Fiebig holds degrees in electrical engineering and industrial engineering from the RWTH Aachen and the École Centrale Paris and was educated in venture capital at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Prior to joining HTGF, he supported the entry of the international energy supplier Enovos into the German market in various positions.

HTGF focuses on investing in high-tech startups in the fields of digital tech, industrial tech, life sciences, chemistry and related business areas. To date, external investors have injected about EUR6 Billion of capital into the HTGF portfolio via more than 2,000 follow-on financing rounds. In addition, HTGF has already sold shares in more than 180 companies. The firm has approx. EUR1.4 Billion under management.
