Vsquared Ventures Closes Second Deeptech Fund, at €214M


Vsquared Ventures, a Munich, Germany-based deeptech venture capital firm, closed its second fund, at €214m.

Limited Partners include Novo Holdings, the NATO Innovation Fund, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, the European Investment Fund, and KfW Capital (Germany), as well as successful founders such as Simon Bolz of Klara.com, Dr. Oliver Trinchera and Dr. Alexander Huettenbrink, cofounders of Kinexon.

The fund invests in early-stage, deeptech startups across new space, energy transition, AI & next-gen software, new computing and sensing, robotics and manufacturing, and tech-bio. The vehicle will invest between €500k-€5m into approx. 25 companies. Two-thirds of the fund will make follow-on investments.

The vehicle has already invested in eight companies, including Cylib, Synthara, Quantune, Atrandi, Dynelectro, Lace Lithography, ConstellR, and Synthara.

The investment team includes:

The firm’s portfolio also includes Isar Aerospace, IQM Quantum, Inbrain Neuroelectronics, and The Exploration Company, among others. The closing of Vsquared II brings assets under management to approx. €450m.
