Creandum Closes Fund VII, at €500M

Creandum, a pan-European early-stage venture capital firm, closed Fund VII, at €500M.

LPs include university endowments, pension funds, and charitable foundations. The half of the capital raised for Creandum VII is from US investors.

With the fund, the firm will continue to find and back Europe’s winners at Seed and Series A. Main focus areas include AI, SaaS, and climate tech.

Founded in 2003, Creandum has a portfolio of 120+ companies including some of Europe’s most successful tech companies across a wide range of industries including Spotify, Klarna, Depop, Kry, Trade Republic, Pleo, and Vivino. Today, every sixth company is a unicorn.

The GPs are Carl Fritjofsson (San Francisco), Simon Schmincke (Berlin), Fredrik Cassel, Johan Brenner, and Staffan Helgesson (based in Stockholm). The firm’s advisory teams are based in Stockholm, London, Berlin, and San Francisco.
