Renegade Partners, a San Francisco, CA-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in transformative technology companies, closed its Fund II, at $128M.

All of Renegade Partners’ institutional investors, which include Pensions, Foundations, and an Ivy League Endowment, matched or increased their allocations for Fund II, bringing the total AUM to $228M.

The fund will invest, mostly at Series A, in 20 audacious founders solving big, bold problems, helping them turn their startups into companies.

Founded by Renata Quintini and Roseanne Wincek in 2020, Renegade is purpose-built for the phase between product market fit and growth, writing checks up to $10m. The firm partners with category defining companies in markets such as aerospace (Air Space Intelligence), payments infrastructure (Ansa), incident management (Rootly), development tools for industrial automation (Copia Automation), collaborative work (Coda), and clinical R&D financial management (Auxilius).

Renegade offers founders access to expert guidance as they scale their teams. Renegade’s General Partners sit on 80% of portfolio companies’ boards, and Chief People Officer and Operating Partner, Susan Alban (formerly with Uber, McKinsey and eBay), actively supports 100% of portfolio companies.

With Fund II, Renegade is building on this proven approach with the addition of a new Operating Partner in Finance and Business Operations.

Before founding Renegade, Quintini invested as a Partner at Lux Capital and General Partner at Felicis Ventures. Wincek invested as a Partner at IVP and Principal at Canaan Partners.
