Techstars Healthcare Accelerator, which is sponsored by Cedars Sinai, Point32Health, UCI Health, and UnitedHealthcare, announced the 12 startups selected for the Class of 2024.

Taking place in the tech ecosystem of Los Angeles, this three month, mentorship-driven program brings together founders from a variety of backgrounds and geographies. The 2024 class, chosen for healthcare solutions addressing current inefficiencies in the US healthcare system, includes:

  • Akara (Dublin, Ireland), which helps hospitals increase productivity and alleviate staffing challenges using robotics and AI.
  • Asclepius Health (San Francisco, CA), an AI medical assistant for outpatient clinics to fully automate clinic workflow.
  • Brainbot (Toronto, Canada), an AI-powered concussion recovery assistant, which equips clinicians with deep insights to improve the standard of care.
  • Brinter (Los Angeles, CA), which bio-manufactures personalized human modifications for cartilage reconstructions and orthopedics.
  • CranioSense (Boston, MA), a non-invasive sensing platform that enables rapid triage and diagnosis of elevated brain pressure to minimize time to treatment.
  • D.Sole (Pittsburgh, PA), which provides remote patient monitoring foot insoles for early detection of diabetic foot complications, reducing severe amputations.
  • Limber Technologies (Brooklyn, NY), a tech-enabled fall prevention service for older adults with impaired mobility, saving payers billions from the cost of falls.
  • Lo Biosciences (Rockville, MD), which enables lab-approved home collections for blood test.
  • MediCircle (Houston, TX), which saves patients and health insurance plans by repurposing leftover cancer prescriptions to create equitable cancer care. 
  • Nurtur (Cambridge, MA), which predicts postpartum depression with a proprietary algorithm, outperforming standard depression screening, months before any symptoms arise.
  • Vita Innovations (Ithaca, NY), which offers an AI-powered triage platform to streamline Emergency Department patient intake and monitoring.
  • We Are Here (Austin, TX), an AI-driven nurse navigator platform that addresses gaps in cancer care.
