Acadian Ventures, a Madison, CT-based early-stage venture capital firm specializing in the future of work, closed its second fund, at $30m.

Acadian Ventures Fund II is anchored by ServiceNow Ventures and Connecticut Innovations with additional participation from venture capital firms, family offices, high-net individuals, many of its founders, and a majority of limited partners from the first fund.

Led by Jason Corsello and Thomas Otter, Acadian is now focused on four core themes:

  • Intelligent work applications,
  • work infrastructure (i.e. data and APIs),
  • new regulatory and compliance, and
  • the emerging global workforce.

The above are all categories where the team members have spent time building and scaling businesses as operators and investors in leading software companies including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Cornerstone OnDemand.

Over the last 4 years, the firm has worked with 35 companies and nearly 100 entrepreneurs around the world, connecting them with its operating network of hundreds of executives who have built and scaled $1B+ businesses.
