Gaia Ventures Raising Up To $50M for First Fund

Gaia Ventures, a NYC-based venture capital firm, is raising up to $50m for its debut fund, called Gaia Ventures I, LP.

According to an SEC filing, the firm has already raised $15m from 16 backers.

Led by Deepak Krishnamurthy, Gaia Ventures invests at the seed stage in companies disrupting the largest B2B software categories.

According to the website, areas of focus include:

  • AI native Enterprise SaaS: Financial & back-office workflow automation, and next-gen customer experience powered by AI.
  • AI Tools & Infrastructure: Tools for open source GenAI models, AI data infrastructure, and LLM logging & observability.
  • AI Developer Platforms: Low Code/No code LLM apps, AIOps/MLOps,  LLM testing, and  LLM security & privacy.
  • Supply Chain Automation: AI powered procurement, supply chain and logistics automation.
  • Industrial Automation: Manufacturing automation, AI enabled product design, and autonomous industrial robotics.
  • AI native Vertical SaaS: Next-gen automation in financial services,  healthcare, and climate SaaS powered by AI.
