Red Cell Partners, a McLean, VA-based incubator focused on defense and health tech, announced a new $91M fund, RCIF I.

The new fund allows the firm to back incubations raising early stage rounds.

Launched in 2020 by Grant Verstandig, Red Cell is an incubation firm building rapidly scalable technology-led companies that are bringing advancements to market in healthcare and national security. The firm has launched six companies, Zephyr AI, TARA Mind, Savoy Life, DEFCON AI, and Eyris and has invested in five companies, including Eprius.

Verstandig founded Rally Health – which was acquired by UnitedHealth Group, where he then served as Chief Digital Officer. The leadership team also includes former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and Federal Reserve Vice Chair Roger Ferguson.
