Airbridge Equity Partners, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based tech focused investment firm, closed its second fund, AEP-II, with a total capital commitment of EUR 63m.
Differently from its first fund, AEP-I, which was exclusively internally funded, Airbridge received support from several external Limited Partners (LPs). Some of them are founders of companies previously funded by Airbridge through its first fund.
Led by Rick van Boekel, Partner, the firm will continue to invest in innovative tech scale-ups across Europe providing not only funds but also decades of entrepreneurial and investment expertise to empower and drive value creation within backed companies.
Airbridge especially focuses on companies with competitively defensible positions in B2B or B2C value chains in growing markets with a long-term outlook. The ticket size varies from EUR 1m – 5m initially with the ability to stay active over time.
In 2023, Airbridge has already closed three notable deals: Honey Sales, delphai, and We Are Eves. Additionally, the firm recently signed a Term Sheet with a fourth promising venture.
